ZCDC is the Emmy and Grand Prix Lion-winning directing duo Zackary Canepari and Drea Cooper. Their hyper-visual aesthetic and deeply personal storytelling often blurs the line
between documentary and fiction, creating a truly unique style and emotional narrative experience that runs through all of their work. With backgrounds in photojournalism and documentary filmmaking, ZCDC have worked around the globe. They write, direct and often shoot and edit their own films, tv spots, VR and AR experiences.

They’ve crafted commercial work for brands like Apple, Facebook, Cisco, Intel and directed Superbowl spots for Goodby and Chevrolet. Their Asics film The Eternal Run was awarded the Grand Prix at the Cannes Lions. Their breakout short documentary series CALIFORNIA IS A
PLACE premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and quickly became a viral online phenomenon, earning multiple Vimeo Staff Picks and over 10 million views while screening at festivals
worldwide.

They went on to direct the award-winning feature documentary T-REX, about Olympic gold medalist Claressa Shields, which premiered at SXSW and won audience and jury awards at
festivals including San Francisco International Film Festival and Hot Docs. Their Netflix Original series Flint Town earned nominations from the Critics Choice Awards, IDA, and Cinema Eye Honors, with Forbes calling it “one of Netflix’s best documentary offerings.” Their Netflix documentary Fire in Paradise, about the Camp Fire in Northern California, won both an Emmy Award and an Edward R. M.
